TrapLayer provides public threat observatory data, private customer intelligence feeds, and controlled honeypot telemetry for defensive security research.

Allowed Use

You may use TrapLayer public pages, reports, and customer feeds for defensive security, research, incident awareness, and internal risk analysis.

MVP terms
Public observatory
Public pages are informational and may contain approximated, delayed, or sampled threat telemetry.
Customer feeds
Authenticated feeds are licensed to the customer tenant and must not be resold, republished, or redistributed unless your agreement allows it.
Research use
You may reference public aggregate findings if you do not expose private customer data, raw event evidence, API keys, or canary tokens.

Restricted Activity

Do not use TrapLayer to attack, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt to compromise the service or third-party systems.

No exploitationDo not exploit lures, submit malware, harvest fake secrets at scale, or attempt to bypass access controls.
No real secretsDo not submit real credentials, production secrets, personal data, or regulated information into honeypot forms.
No feed abuseDo not share API keys, scrape feeds beyond entitlement limits, or use feed data for unlawful targeting.

Service Limits

TrapLayer is an intelligence source, not a complete security program or legal determination.

AccuracyClassifications, confidence, geography, ASN, and client-family labels are best-effort signals.
AvailabilityThe service may be rate limited, changed, suspended, or interrupted for security, maintenance, or abuse response.
BillingPaid access, recurring billing, refunds, and account closure are governed by the customer account settings and provider records.

Changes

These MVP terms may be updated as TrapLayer moves from private testing to production. Material customer-facing changes should be reviewed before launch.
